Touré
HOST 2011

Touré, is the author of the forthcoming book, Who's Afraid of Post-Blackness?, A Look At What It Means To Be Black Now, to be published on September 13, 2011 by the Free Press. He has already published three books: Never Drank the Kool-Aid, a collection of essays about hiphop and life, and Soul City, a novel, and The Portable Promised Land, a collection of short stories. He is an NBC contributor and a regular on MSNBC's The Dylan Ratigan Show. He is also the host of the Fuse shows, Hiphop Shop and On the Record, as well as a contributor to Tennis Channel.

Touré was CNN's first Pop Culture Correspondent and was the host of MTV2's Spoke N Heard and BET's The Black Carpet. He remains a contributing editor at Rolling Stone and also writes for Vibe and Ebony. He studied at Columbia University's graduate school of creative writing and lives in Fort Greene, Brooklyn with his wife and two children.
